Dark amber coloured standard quaffing ale. Bitter and smooth with a slight sharpness.

A mid golden coloured ale. Theakston\'s best bitter certainly isn\'t best by any stretch of the imagination. Low in aroma and lacking any true distinction this is a typical low flavour mass produced product. At least it is not nasty, although I would be hard pushed to choose this over and above a pint of crappy lager. Come on Theakston\'s you can produce some good beer like the Old Peculiar but this is not it!

A dark golden, sweet tasting beer with a tart, fruity aftertaste.

Milds are really not my favourite style among cask ales - most of them are, well, too mild... However, this one is probably about as good as a mild can get.
