Dark rich and quite malty I found this rather to bland lacking any real distinction. The finish was bitter but just not good enough for a seasonal brew.

Tanglefoot is an unmistakable beer. Dark copper in colour it has a deep spicy taste which is unlike any other. I have had many a good session on tanglefoot, and although not to everybodys taste,at its best it has a very distinctive and interesting flavour.

A golden coloured organic beer with a tangy, fruit dominance and a tart finish.

Opening the bottle reveals the overwhelming smell of peach blossom room freshener - I nearly poured it on the pot pourri! Taste is initially dominated by sweet peach - far closer to an alcopop than a beer. At this point I was distinctly unsure about continuing to drink it. However, soon the hops and a dry bitterness comes through, and by the end of the pint you realise how well balanced it is. It definitely needs to be served cold. I ended up loving this beer and would certainly have it again. However, I also believe it's one of those love it or hate it beers which will really divide opinions, and I fully expect that my mark of 8 out of 10 will soon be countered by someone voting with a 2!
