A strong, dark ruby coloured mild with a sour, bitter taste. Malty aftertaste and a lasting, tangy finish. Should have had a lot more flavour at this ABV.

Tasted this mild in the Saltcot, Saltcoats (JDW) in May 2010. Crystal clear ruby red in colour with a thin buff head. Thin mouthfeel and poor lacing. Roasted malt and winegums in the short aroma. Dark malts impart a sweet fruity overtone of dry redcurrants and red grapes. Bitter hop resins in the aftertaste give a woody briar flavour. Sweet vinous fruit note returns in the well balanced finish. A decent session mild and recommended.
