Fabulous dark and very distinctive. This is a wonderful beer having a lovely aroma and a rich full bodied flavour. A little strong for a session ale but always worth a try when you find it at the bar.

This is a slightly sweet dark ale with bags of flavour. I wasn't expecting much from this beer but it was surprisingly tasty. A must try!

Definately a beer that has stood the test of time well. A smooth malty start with a rich, strong bitterness developing that remains to the end. Hints of fruitiness throughout. A classic.

Exceptional beer of its style. Proper English traditional full ruby red coloured ale, distinctive in flavour. Don't come much better when served right.

This must be the flagship of the Bateman portfolio. The archetypel strong English bitter. Russet mahogany in colour with a large white loose head. Nice aroma of banana bread straight out of the oven. Robust smack of malt full on in the fantastic mouthfeel. Pale malt complexes give a wide range of full flavours. Juicy maltloaf with a hint of overipe banana lead to a aromatic dry hop bite in the aftertaste. Bitter sweet finish ends with slight dry vanilla note with vinous fruits. A true English classic.
