I once tried to buy a four pint carry out so that I could try it at home. Unfortunately I hadn't taken enough money. At £2.20 a half a few years ago I had to try a half in the pub. This beer is so strong that it can only really be sipped. Dark full of complex flavours and with an aroma of a spirit it is a beer to avoid unless your a bit drunk in which case you suddenly think you can down a pint.Oh dear!The rating reflects it's memorable flavours.

This is a dangerous but truly fabulous ale. Too strong really but the wealth of flavours is a joy to behold. Simply Amazing! Not one for old men as the other reviews will prove!!!

Beware, this dark, barley wine should come with a warning attached to the glass. Strong tasting with a host of flavours going on. Sip it and enjoy. Not one for boy drinkers.
